Our Story

Looking back on success but never resting on it.

Nearly 60 years after Vail’s first realtor, Rod Slifer, set up his brokerage on Bridge Street, Slifer Smith & Frampton continues to execute a luxury real estate vision that prioritizes service, local expertise, and careful stewardship of our mountain communities.

Headquartered in Avon, Colorado, SSF has grown to include a team of more than 250 brokers, 90 support staff across 33 locations spanning Denver, the Vail Valley, the Roaring Fork Valley, and Summit County. Our brokers have an average of 20 years’ experience, providing clients with an unsurpassed wealth of local knowledge. In 2019, was the No. 1 real estate firm in the Vail Valley and Summit County, with nearly 1,900 transactions totaling $2.3 billion in sales volume across all three regions. The Denver team was awarded the Denver Metro Association of Realtors’ top awards for production and we look forward to building on that growth and success as we head towards the future.

The Denver Team

Our team of real estate professionals knows this city like the back of our hand. We started here in Denver in 1999 as the sales team for Downtown Denver’s Riverfront Park, a neighborhood developed out of the ashes of an abandoned rail yard by our sister company, East West Partners. Together, we transformed Riverfront Park from a bare swath of dirt into a thriving and sophisticated urban community of more than 2,000 homes — and sold them all.

In the years since our founding, we’ve grown into a full-service boutique real estate firm, serving neighborhoods all across the Denver metro area, from Wash Park to LoHi to Cherry Creek to Greenwood Village, we are city people. We love our urban playground just like we love our mountains, and we love putting that expertise to work for our clients and community.
